Sandrine is 41 I think. She had early onset menopause from at least the last couple of years we were married , probably earlier... This is what her doctor told her . I'd forgotten until the subject came up. She's prone to depression anyway.. And tends to retire to her bed a lot at weekends. She doesn't sound very happy. In fact when I take the girls back to hers when every she is cheerfully welcoming there is a collective sign of relief.

I had to press the reset button on Eloise at weekend. I get to a point when the teenage rudeness and Sandrine like tone and moaning get too much. TV's get turned off, mobile phones and pad confiscated , riot act read. I'm getting quite good at it , and Eloise is a much nicer and happier child after the sulking finishes, about an hour.

Musings on Brexit

To me it's simple

-the bodies charged with forecasting economic performance think we should stay in. That's the BoE, the IMF ,the IFS, all of those mentioned during the amphitheatre scene in the life of Brian, ceo Siemens uk, French finance minister etc

- who would want to be governed by the misfits, racists and right wingers aligned to the Brexit cause, with no recourse to Europe . Scary.

- the Brexit tories have qualms about using farage .ffs

-Johnson will be the next Tory leader irrespective of the result. He's secretly hoping for remain, otherwise his premiership will be sullied and it will be all his fault

- my kids are half French and fluently parlez bien the lingo

- they say Europe is heading for a melt down and we should vacate the area. We would be affected either way , and besides running is not the way we are.

- I believe immigration is good for this country

Missive to Stephen

Sounds like fun . I was dating a Bognor girl at that age , three years it went on for. Couldn't stand her and the day I dumped her is still a red letter day. 6/9 moths later met sue, who was beautiful and great in bed . We kept that up on/off until I met Sandrine , in fact after I met Sandrine .

Hendon is where Saracens play isn't it. We had an athletics meet up there with the club and Eloise did some running . I have a picture of her in the club house somewhere.

Thanks. I think Amanda has a similar ex . A West Ham fan who once made her spend two hours in the club shop fingering the poor quality merchandise , and also terrorised her psychologically by making her move to Wanstead . He is known, this was three of four years ago, as the cunt. She also s also a terrible snob about south London , particularly SE London. The clobber in the Barcelona footie club shop is in a different league, unsurprisingly.

I'm being unfair to her reporting it quite like that but those were some of the facts I gleaned. Her brother owns the hair dressers that Emma works in. He also seems like a likeable person. Anyway we didn't talk much about Emma.

Well done to hull. It's millwall's turn later. This means the pub on the corner will be filled nutters. Yesterday we had a couple of disappointed Sheff wed fans in full regalia (made in China as Amanda would have pointed out ).do you remember the tv documentary in the 7Os that made millwall famous as the hardest set of fans in the land. I know a couple of the blokes in the film. Now respectable etc. One was telling me that after the film came out that everywhere they went people wanted to kick the shit out of them and going away became quite hazardous , and a few anecdotes to reinforce the point.
